Fashion Facile Know Your Best Color

Before you go sporting on colors or even outfits that are hip for spring or summer collection, you might want to consider knowing which color fits you best. But the big question is, how?

I usually pick my clothes on the spot. I rarely plan ahead what clothes to wear. Whatever fits my mood for the moment, I'd go for it. And, the colors really don't matter to me, as long as I like to wear it. Most of us take the colors of our outfits for granted. But in some cases, we want to look extra special and beautiful. So making an effort of finding that "best color" would make a difference on how we look.  According to

Wendi Braswell(eHow presenter), women get complimented in their outfits for two reasons, it's either the fit or the color... and 90%, it's the color.

So here are some tips that will help you find out what color fits you best according to your skin tone.

To find out what skin tone you have, check the color of your veins on your wrist.  Yes, go outside when the sun is up and look in the mirror or on your wrist. If you have greenish veins on your wrist, most likely you have yellow undertones, which likely you are under the warm category. If you have bluish veins on your wrist most likely you have a cool skin tone. If you can't seem to determine the color of your wrist's veins, most likely you are on the neutral tone.

Cool tones have a pale rosy, ebony, dark red cast on the skin. For warm skin, it usually has yellow, honey, golden tones in their skin. And for neutral skin, you have to blend both or are more olive tones.

If it is still difficult for you to determine which type of skin tone you have, then try basing it on to your eye color. If you have blue or green-colored eyes, then you are under the cool tones. If on the other hand, you have hazel or brown eyes, then you are most likely a warm tone.

Do follow these tips together to determine what color looks best for your skin.

In picking your outfits... If you have golden or olive skin tone, go for warmer colors. Oranges, reds, golds, yellows, dark brown, they will look best for your golden or olive hue.

If you fall into the cool skin tone, you'll look best in pinks, blues, greens, and purples. Cold colors will look best on you.

People who have neutral skin tones however are very lucky. They can switch from cool to warm colors.

I really don't follow trends much until I got this fashion blog. It makes me want to know more about fashion... But it doesn't mean that I strictly follow what's hip or not from the top lists of magazines and websites. I still experiment on what looks best on me.
